Overview

• 5'-Biotin phosphoramidite is a reagent used to directly incorporate a biotin label at the 5'-terminus during solid phase oligonucleotide synthesis.

• The DMT (dimethoxytrityl) group on the biotin moiety can be removed during synthesis to measure coupling efficiency or retained on the oligonucleotide to facilitate RP or cartridge purification.

• The 5'-biotin label is attached to the oligonucleotide through a 6-carbon atom (aminohexanol) spacer arm.
