AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent is a reagent that can introduce nucleic acids into various types of eukaryotic cells (e.g., 293T, HeLa, BHK-21, etc.). It is optimized for transfection on both DNA and RNA within 30 minutes, and it shows high transfection efficiency in the presence or absence of serum and low cytotoxicity.

Overview

AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent is an effective transfection reagent with low cytotoxicity and high reproducibility.
The reagent forms DNA/RNA complex to promote efficient DNA/RNA delivery into eukaryotic cells by protecting DNA or RNA from degradation.

GFP DNA was transfected into HuH-7 cell using each transfection reagent, and the expression level was observed after 48 hours. BIONEER’s AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent showed the greatest expression level. Expressed ß-actin shows that the same amount of protein is used for each experiment.

FAQ

Transfection efficiency is low.

AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent recommends a 1:3 (DNA(µg):AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent(µl)) ratio for most cell lines. However, the ratio might need to be optimized according to the type of cell lines.
AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent is stored at -20℃. If stored at any other temperature, it might show lower efficiency.

Cell viability has decreased after transfection.

There can be different reasons behind a decreased cell viability, but it might be due to cytotoxin from antibiotics in the growth medium, or incomplete endotoxin removal during plasmid DNA extraction from E.coli. It is recommended to avoid using antibiotics in the growth medium, and to use high-quality plasmid DNA from which endotoxin has been removed.

The transfection experiment cannot be reproduced.

Transfection efficiency may vary depending on cell type and subculture number (number of passages). For each experiment, it is recommended to use the same subculture number and the cells. Since the cells have a limited number of divisions, the transfection efficiency may be lower in cells that underwent many divisions than in cells that underwent fewer divisions, and transfection may not be reproduced.

Can it be used to transfect siRNA, and sgRNA, other than DNA?

AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent is applicable to both DNA and siRNA, and on CRISPR experiments using plasmid form of template.

What is the storing temperature?

AccuFect™ Transfection Reagent is stored at -20℃. If stored at any other temperature, it might show lower efficiency.

What is the ideal proportion of cell transfection?

Confluency of around 60-70% is ideal.

How do I increase or decrease the transfection scale?
