AccuPower® Klebsiella planticola Real-time PCR Kit

Overview

K. planticola is a gram-negative bacillus that can be found in soil, water and plants, and some can be found in the human gastrointestinal tract. It mainly causes urinary tract and wound infections in humans with K. pneumoniae. It is also rarely the cause of pancreatitis. K. planticola is very similar in appearance to K. pneumoniae, so it is often confused but it can be identified by DNA analysis.
