AccuPower® Enterococcus hirae Real-Time PCR Kit

Overview

E. hirae is a gram-positive bacteria identified in young chickens. It mainly causes bacteremia, and it has been reported that E. hirae bacteremia frequently causes urinary tract infections, biliary tract infections, and infectious endocarditis. These infections have been found to be more likely to develop in people with cirrhosis of the liver and chronic kidney disease, as well as in people with diabetes. However, it is known that E. hirae is not fatal because it has high sensitivity to antibiotics, amoxicillin and florfenicol.
