Overview

S. pasteurianus is a gram-positive bacterium that causes sepsis, meningitis, and colorectal cancer. S. pasteurianus is a species of the S. bovis group and has similar characteristics to other species in the group. Although no clear route of infection has been identified, S. pasteruianus often causes neonatal sepsis.
