Overview

P. gingivalis is a gram-negative bacterium that causes periodontitis, various periodontal, and systemic diseases. P. gingivalis is the pathogen most responsible for chronic periodontitis. In addition, P. gingivalis has often been reported to form colonies in the mouth and then move through the blood to cause other systemic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Convenience
All necessary reactants for real-time PCR are included in a tube (i.e., Master Mix Type), allowing the users to perform reaction simply by adding template DNA, Oligo Mix, and DEPC-D.W.
Sensitivity
By using BIONEER’s HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase that minimizes non-specific reactions and maximizes reaction efficiency, only the target gene can be effectively amplified even with a trace amount of template DNA.

AccuPower^® Porphyromonas gingivalis Real-Time PCR Kit was used. This data was obtained using Exicycler™ 96 Real-time Quantitative Thermal cycler (Bioneer Co.).

AccuPower^® Porphyromonas gingivalis Real-Time PCR Kit was used, and 24 replicates were performed for each section (1000, 333, 111, 37, 12.3, 4.1, 1.4 copies/rxn), and the measured results were analyzed through probit analysis. Through statistical analysis, the lowest concentration detectable by more than 95% was established as LoD.
When the cut-off value was calculated using the LoD test results, it was confirmed to be 40.59 Ct.
