Overview

K. pneumoniae is a gram-negative bacterium that causes pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and sepsis. K. pneumoniae is an opportunistic pathogen that is usually present in the mouth, skin, and intestines of a healthy person, but when inhaled or flowed into the lungs or bloodstream through a catheter, it is pathogenic. K. pneumoniae causes various diseases depending on the infected area. Especially, pneumonia commonly occurs in patients with reduced immunity such as alcoholics and diabetic patients.

Convenience
All necessary reactants for real-time PCR are included in a tube (i.e., Master Mix Type), allowing the users to perform reaction simply by adding template DNA, Oligo Mix, and DEPC-D.W.
Sensitivity
By using BIONEER’s HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase that minimizes non-specific reactions and maximizes reaction efficiency, only the target gene can be effectively amplified even with a trace amount of template DNA.
