AccuPower® Kudoa septempunctata Real-time PCR kit

K.septempunctata has a wide host-specificity and infects various fish species such as salmon, flounder, mackerel, and yellowtail. It is suspected to be a causative agent of foodborne illness in humans. The novel K. septempunctata isolated from fish forms multiple white cyst structures or causes the dissolution of postmortem muscle, resulting in a phenomenon known as “Jelly meat”, which reduces the value of the product.

AccuPower^® Kudoa septempunctata Real-time PCR Kit enables the detection of K. septempunctata, a type of myxosporean parasite, using PCR amplification with DNA extracted from fish muscle. Bioneer's patented enzyme-mediated HotStart technology is applied to suppress non-specific amplification and enhance reaction specificity and PCR efficiency. This product includes a positive control that aids in determining the presence of K. septempunctata.

This kit is a vacuum-dried product and contains all PCR components (DNA polymerase, dNTPs, reaction buffer, primers, probe, stabilizer), so users can easily prepare a reaction solution by adding only template DNA and DEPC-D.W.
