The Opaque White 96-Well Skirted, Low Profile PCR plate is designed to minimize condensation on the side of the tube and is suitable for real-time PCR experiments below 20 μl. Since the height is lower than the normal tube, the free space between the hot lid and the thermal cycler (or sample) is reduced.This minimizes the reduction of the reaction volume due to evaporation and prevents condensation of the sample on the wall of the tube, resulting in higher qPCR results. Opaque White 96-well skirted, Low Profile PCR Plates can minimize device shudder compared to non-skirted plates.
