Ordering Information

Piroplasma, which includes Babesia and Theileria primarily, is parasitic on red blood cells in human or animal.
It is originated from family ixodidae.

Mainly distributed in trophical and subtrophical region so far, but shows also increasing global distribution by the effect of
   global warming.

Piroplasma-related disease is distributed globally in livestocks. It is mediated by 3 kinds of ticks in their hosts, which are
found in Korea also. Once-infected animal may mediate infection of those microbials to other animals, and would give huge
   damage to livestock farmers.

Influx of infected animals, as well as mediation by ricks, may change disease-negative nation into the disease-positive one,
   Endemic region.

Piroplasma-infected human or animal shows symptons including anemia by hemolysis, fatigue, loss of appetite, headache,
high fever and chill at 1-4 weeks after infection. It may result in fatality if an immune suppressed animal is infected.

Korea ticks, which mediate various Piroplasma, include Haemaphysalis, Longicornis, Rhipicephalussanguineus and
   Boophilus microplus.

 Each animal has their own Babesia. Dogs and Cats have Babesia canis (B. canis), B. gibsoni, B. felis and B. cati;
   Cows B. bigemina, B. bovine, B. divergens
and B. major; Sheep and Goats B. motasi and B. ovis; Horses B. caballi; and
   Rodents and Human B. microti.

Each animal also has their own Theileria. Cows have Theileria parva (T. parva), T. annulata, T. orientalis, T. sergenti,
   T. taurotragi
and T. velifera; Sheeps and Goats T. hirci and T. ovis; Horses T. equi; and Deers T. cervi.
